Body Sculptures

Metallplastik mit Angelika Summa

Metal Sculpture with Angelika Summa

Monday, 22.08 to Friday, 26.08.2011
daily, 10am to 5 pm
6 to 10 participants

Fees: 330,-€
Material costs: extra for electricity, gas, wire, etc.

Body sculptures are body-related aesthetic objects. They are based upon the idea that sculpture, in its structural and dimensional presence, can express psychological traits such as, for example, vulnerability, need for protection, pride, etc. Similar to clothing, the surrounding sculptures can envelop people, let them become carriers of meaning - inwards and outwards, enabling orientation and distinction within social systems.

Our measure is the own body, our material is wire. The metal line is the constituting element of our three-dimensional work, moving between intuition and planning. We will work with pliers, angle-grinder and welding equipment. Prior skills are not necessary.

Further information will be given after registration.
